DrawEast, founded by Jane Grisewood, Maryanne Nicholls and Cary Norman, offers , , and art workshops tutored by professional artists. Emphasis is on innovation, exploration and individual development, with the courses suitable for the beginner, the art student or experienced artist.

Drawing is at the heart of the art workshops, and it forms the basis of all the classes. Improving drawing skills is encouraged to enhance observational and sketchbook recording, and to advance development in painting and printmaking.

DrawEast courses are held in the studio adjacent to High Hall, a spectacular Elizabethan house set in extensive grounds, in rural - with immense skies and landscapes made famous by Constable and Gainsborough.

Practical tuition is complemented by films, talks and discussions on contemporary visual arts, alongside regular critiques and visits to local galleries and exhibitions.
